Kurt is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER PRACTITIONER™ and Wealth Advisor. As a Registered Representative and Investment Advisor Representative of LPL Financial (LPL), Kurt holds various securities and insurance licenses (Series 6, 7 63 and 24 through LPL). LPL Financial is an independent broker/dealer and Registered Investment Advisor.
Kurt entered the financial services industry in 1983. For over two decades, he has built a clientele comprised mainly of executives, medical professionals, and business owners. Emphasis is placed on providing the education and clarity that clients need to make intelligent decisions. Kurt’s ability is to create a positive atmosphere for excellent communication and the development and implementation of appropriate strategies. Where appropriate, Kurt works closely with each individual and their advisors to develop a comprehensive financial plan designed to help address a range of goals.
A resident of Everett, Washington, Kurt has been involved in the community where he has served in the International Rotary Club, is a former Director with the Everett Chamber of Commerce, served as President of the Snohomish County Estate Planning Council, served on the United Way Planned Giving/Endowment Committee and on the Board of Directors of the Snohomish County Community Foundation. Kurt and his wife Ann, a Physician at the Everett Clinic, have three children. Kurt has appeared as a featured speaker at Virginia Mason Hospital, Physio-Control and at First Technology Credit Union, which serves various high technology firms in the Northwest including Microsoft and AT&T. He conducts various seminars on financial planning, wealth preservation strategies, and investment management. In addition, he has authored articles for several newsletters. Kurt is a veteran of the United States Navy Submarine Service and was a member of the Launch and Commissioning crew of the Trident Submarine USS Florida.
Kurt graduated Cum Laude from North Carolina State University with BA degrees in Business Management (Finance) and Communication. He was nominated Outstanding Graduate from the Department of Communication. He is a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon (International Honor Society in Business and Economics) and Lambda Phi Eta National Honor Society for Communication Scholars).
